Really really nice. Superb. I love the substrate. Will you manage to keep the two colours seperated? Also, whats the white rock you have. It looks like it may raise your PH.

V. nice though. Looking forward to seeing more pics. :good:

Very unusual!

Major problem keeping the substrate from mixing when doing a gravel vac.

Also, whatch the light times on that white rock. Looks fab when new but I found anything white in my tank very quickly went green

All,

Thanks for the kind remarks. I have to admit the white rock is actually false, the red and Green one are the real thing. As for the substrate, I do not mind to much if it mixes makes it look a litle more natural (but then when did you last see white and black sand together in real life)

As the tank was only setup today, it will be a while until we have the next pictures, we are feeding in extra CO2 to help the plants along, and have started to add Ammonia to get the tank in to shape.

Now as to what we are keeping, I am not sure as yet, my wife Karen has a list as long as my arm, so it needs to be paired down a bit, but I am looking forward to giving our Rosie Tetras somewhere bigger to swim about in, so they will be the first. We shall certainly post more pics, as the tanlk matures.

Adrian and Karen

Welcome to the insane hobby of fishkeeping! :hyper:

My list was always as long as my arm, too.... but then you read up on compatability issues, etc., and it quickly narrows down. I really like your tank! I started off with two substrate colors, too, but as doresy indicated, the first gravel vac ruined that plan.
