New to site! Hello everyone!

55 Gallon:
  • 3 bala sharks
  • albino rainbow shark
  • blood parrot
  • clown loach
  • leporinus
We added the clown loach today, and at first albino was messing with him(?) ..we think because clown was trying to be in albino's log, but now everything is fine. Just in case they needed another hide a way, we put the spider man cup in, lol, will be taking out soon. We did have a rainbow shark in there as well, but we moved him to our other tank by himself because he wouldn't leave the others alone. Any opinions? Other fish we could put in with them?

I've read a lot about leporinus and how they are super aggressive, but no problems with ours, he's real shy n keeps to himself. Wanting to get another but hard to come by.

-Also, I'm looking into getting some guppies. Not going to breed yet, but plan to. (Tank size suggestions, and tankmates?)

Tank looks alright, though I prefer more natural looking tanks. IMO your tank looks a bit fake. But, it's your tank so don't worry about my opinion

After all, you're the one looking at it

Some issues with your stocking though...
Bala Sharks need a minimum tank size of 70 Gallons as they get over a foot long.
Clown Loaches need at tank of at least 100 gallons as they too get to about a foot long.
Leporinus need a tank of about 70 gallons as they get to around a foot long.

EDIT: Also, :hi: to the forum

+1 to this 'cept i think the sharks and loaches need a 100 gallon too. :/
Guppies would be a bad idea. A very bad one.

If you are looking at guppies in a different tank, I'd say a 20 gallon would be the best minimum choice.  Tankmates would be small, peaceful fish.  Corydoras (depending on water parameters), small peaceful tetras, cherry barbs, rasboras, etc.

Thank you everyone for your opinions! I do like the brightness, but I do agree, it is fake. And I am starting to hate gravel! We're looking into sand, but trying to figure out good kinds. Any suggestions?

I know the fish I have get to be about a foot, we're looking into 100+ gallon, probably a 180 gal.
As of right now they are still young. =]

What other kinds of fish can be put with the ones I have? Thinking another clown, and bala..and?

If you are going for a 180... the clowns would be best in a group of 6, as would the bala.  Silver dollars would probably be another nice addition to this tank of 'tankbusters'.
