The first time I've taken photos and about the third layout (I'm terrible for shuffling things around and constantly changing plants and taking cuttings lol!).
Tank is 4ft x 2ft x 18inches high.
Filters are a Superfish Aquapro 3, Fluval U4 and Fluval U2, heater is a deltatherm 300W.
I'm not sure on the plants I've got, I know I have anubias and some java fern and vallis but not so sure on the rest lol!

Big (v.very slowly) but not really aggressive.

Nice tank and pics!!!! What's the stocking?

I expect more problems from the Yoyo loaches than the Clown loaches and, yes, I'm fully aware of how big my clown loaches will eventually grow, but at the rate of about 1in per year I'm in no danger of them being monster fish just yet. I am upgrading to a 5 or 6ft soon, when funds allow.

The stocking is a lot for the tank (hence the filters overload), but we're doing 50% water changes more than once a week.

We currently have 8 clown loaches, 5 yoyo loaches, 3 zebra loaches, 3 adult BNs (and God knows how many babies, nearly big enough to sell now thank goodness), 1 synodontis eupterus (sp?), 1 ruby shark, 1 flying fox, 2 swordtails and 13 phantom tetra. This the stock of our previous two tanks put together for now.
Oh, and a large sailfin and large common plec (rescued by a friend who only has a 2ft tank so I agreed to have them until a more suitable home is found).

Looking to probably sell the shoal of phantom tetra when we upgrade, and change over to a smaller shoal of torpedo barbs. I'm considering selling on the zebra loaches as they were for our smaller tank previously and probably won't have a big enough maximum size to fit in with the bigger loaches, syno and shark eventually. They might be better suited to a smaller community.

It's all a learning curve at the moment, but I'm shuffling things around until I find a permanent community that I can keep unchanged in a bigger tank for years :)
