ive been looking around the net but cant seem to find much info that seems to reliable, im looking at ottos but i have 8 discus in my tanks, i wanna make sure they will be ok with the temp and how likely they are to latch onto the discus slime coat, if not ill stick with Bristlenose.

There is a big difference between ottos and plecs. Ottos will only be interesting if you have sufficient plants. They are very easy and don't bother other fish at all. I wouldn't hesitate to put them in wiht discus.
