i am looking to get an oscar and i am wondering about compatability with other fish? is it mostly reliant on size?
cause i only have a 40gal. so to many large fish is out of the question

imo a 40 gal is not big enough for a oscar

as cfc would say dont buy a fish if you can not handle the adult size

a oscar canm grow to to 12" (30cm) but are also very chunky fish (that are hearty eaters ) so

are you going to get a big enough tank to hold your oscar when an adult

probably not a forty gallon is about as big as i can have in my apartment (still a student) so i guess getting an oscar is out fo the question! what types of fish are of a larger size but at the same time suitable for a 40 gal?

very many fish will fall into this cat
