My parents have a 350L tank.

Currently only occupants are an Oscar, around 6-7 inches, 2 large kissing gouramis, a plec and some random catfish.

The last 2 fish they bought where a pim pictus and a shark catfish, the oscar made short work of those though. Any suggestions for good tank mates, I was considering buying them an ornate bichir as a gift, but dont want it to wind up another meal for the oscar.

Really?? good job i checked, I was about to splash £37 on large ornate bichir for them.

Oscars can reach 12"+, Kissing Gourami can too but usually a bit smaller, depending on the type of plec 2ft is a potential size, 'some random catfish' could be anything from 1" to 5ft adult size.....

Thanks for your help, I have no experience with large cichlids, only having a small community tank myself.
