Oscars?

hmmm, interesting.

So you don't think the length would be too short for the angels? They're a good 2 1/2-3 inches right now. I got them a little more than a year and a half ago. I don't know what to do with my other fish though. You think the Balas would be ok with chiclids? Even the smaller one?

Now you've got me thinking of moving them over...

Lee, start your own thread dude. This is my thread, talking about a question I asked. If you want to go on and on about your tank start your own thread! Clearly Nellys talking to me in his responces!

how many dwarf chiclids do you think I could get away with? I suppose some cardinals or neons would be ok... I was just hoping for something different, and chiclids would be it. But I want more than just a couple.
ok mate if you say so iv set up some threads and nellys responding to me as well mate so maybe your wrong you should get your facts right dude and this sites for people who needs answers or to talk about tanks and fish maybe this aint the site for you dude laters

What are you talking about?
Have you ever been on a message board before?
Yes this site is about fish and tanks but this particular thread was about something specific and you go off on your own on a different topic. That's why you start new threads. So more people see your question and can respond to you. There's lots of room on the site, you don't have to crash this thread.
There's no point going on and on about it. That's great you've started your own threads, so unless you have something constructive to say or add to this thread, don't bother arguing back.

ok mate whatever dr dense laters

if you start with a juvie oscar (they're adorable by the way), all of your fish can stay in the 75g until the oscar's mouth gets big enough to eat them. the angels and neons would look awesome in the hex tank, and everything else can stay in until your oscar gets big enough. the oscar might even learn that its tankmates are friends, not food. they are big softies. your balas will be fine.

hmm something to seriuosly think about.
How fast do they grow? Should I get m/f? or three? What's recomended? Coreys and bottom feeders wont be bothered by them will they? The smallest I have are the neons, then above that I have some scissortails and Serpae Tetras they're a good inch almost each. Think they'd be ok?
the guppies & mollies I suppose I could put in the 10 gallon with the frogs

Seriously, does it sound like I know much about them? I'm asking questions myself. If you want to know what can go in your tank, start a thread, give your tank demensions and current stocking list.

sorry just put them in the hex with angels,,,,,,,as stated would look good n there all smallish,,,,,,,
oscars grow quick litterally a inch+ a month,,, they will be worth the change, silvers should be ok, they are very quick, got my silvers at 4inches, oscars were 9-10inches, they did have a go but silvers are like "chase me big boys"

only get one oscar

the flying foxes and scissortails are maybe an inch long.
Coreys, umm pretty big and fat. I bought new coreys and they're 20 times bigger, maybe, 1 1/2 long maybe 2 inches.

only one? baaah, but how will I choose which? ok, so Silver Dollars ok (2 or more?) Anything else be ok in there? I have a 3-4 inch pleco in there now, he be ok?

plecs do just fine as long as the oscar can't fit it inside its mouth. my oscar attacks my plec from time to time, but plecs are armoured and can stand an oscar attack. silver dollars are a great long-term fish to keep with an oscar because they grow moderately large and live for a long time. i wouldn't get only two though. because they are a schooling fish, they should be kept in groups of atleast 4. to do this in your setup, you might have to think about re-homing a lot of your other fish so the tank doesn't get overcrowded. your cories will do fine for awhile, but you might find some missing one day. i'd replace them with clown loaches.

my oscar has a wail of a time chasing the plec( 6 inch) round the tank.... plec couldnt care less tho, just carries on cleaning the windows

Minor Hijack...

I've got a 350L tank coming thats likely to have a single oscar in it, does that mean i can transplant my ever growing plec from my community 125L tank into the tank with the oscar? He's around 4" now but is a common sailfin and seems to be growing about an inch a month. I'd be getting a juvinile oscar so they'd be comparable in size i guess.
