Oscar companions?

I have 8 tanks ranging from 150g to 5g, and i just brought a 511g for my new house. Your oscar is more happy than mine?
Mine is in a 79g with a blood parrot and a ghost knife, pleco. He gets fed 4 times per day, Blood worms, O.S.I Cichlid Flake, Hikari Bio Gold pallets and Cichlid mix (Frozen). It gets a 20% water change 2 times per week. It has 2 filters and a powerhead in it.
Once sponge Powerfilter- 1000ltr per hour.
Jebo 835 Canister filter- 800ltr per hour.
Powerhead- 800ltr per hour.

He is 10" and grew fast (slowing down now though)
You know what the differnce is with mine and yours? mine is healthy and always will be, it has turning around space, it can hit top speed in the tank (maybe)
and, he has his own part of the tank as well.

Take a look at my 2nd tank, the one with the sand in it, does he look cramped or sad?

LOL, there was just a thread on having to be 18 to buy fish. The moron kid putting oscars in a 15g makes a pretty good case for it.

The owner of his lfs must love seeing this bloke come in his store.

BEA/\/ was rong in a way. I got one of my friends to sell me his 4 foot (75 g) with stand and equipment and all(plus a smaller 2 foot) for 350 bux. He has a 180 g marine tank and hees 13!!! Lucky bastard so im not changin my fish, im movin it as soon as i get that tank.

Well this seems to be a lost endeavor to keep you from torturing the oscar. I am with Vip in that it is wrong to take a fish back to the store every 60 days. Imagine the stress this will put on the fish.

Think about this. You are just born and after 60 days you are just to big for your crib. So, we pack you up in a trash bag and send you off to a store where you will sit in a 5 gal bucket till someone comes to buy you. You have no sense of what is happening or where you are. People come by and knock on the side of your bucket all day long. Then suddenly you are scooped up and put in another trash bag and HOPEFULLY lets you out in a large house (such as Vip's tank) where you can roam at will.

Not very appealing is it. Ok i'm done.

come on man, you can get a 150g complete setup for that much. look in the paper, as i said before i would never pay over $130 for a complete 55g, never.
I brought all my 55's for $50 bare tank brand new the $59

You're forgetting that they're in austrailia. think of it as about $175 in US currency give or tak a bit.

i got my 3 foot second hand with everything from a lady and she even gave me a 20 icnch air stone and a huge limestone rock. including light as well. preety good deal.
