b4 anyone ends the thread i just wanna relly relly relly apologize for wat me and my friend have caused. the oscar is happy with its big new tank and thats all. just him.ive seen the tank and everything is fine. sorry once agen for wat we have caused.

I was pretty rude myself, for that I apologize.

And I should confess:

I was 8 or 9 yrs old and on vacation with my family in Florida. We were staying in Fort Meyers Beach, I think it was about an hour drive from the Everglades. We took a drive down "Alligator Alley"(highway that runs through the 'glades). We stopped at a roadside alligator attraction. Right as we were leaving, I told my parents I had to use the washroom, which was in the gift shop. Well I didn't use the washroom, I bought a 6" baby alligator for $15. I had it in a small container with some moss, planning on bringing it in my backpack, on the plane back to Chicago.

Back at the resort, my mom walked in our bedroom to see me and my four year old brother playing with the gator. Needless to say, she wasn't happy. My dad drove me back the next day and made them give me my money back. The owner apologized for his employee selling me the gator.

I was made to hand over all my money till we got back to Chicago.

I was planning on putting it in my 10g.

This took place in 1979 or 1980, I don't think they still sell them at roadside stands anymore.

I wish i could do something like that too, but it's illegal to do so! A man got arrested today for having one and got a 2 year jail term and $20,000 fine!
