ordering at your LFS?

A year or so ago, I let my LFS know I was interested in the badis sp., and they ordered in several varieties. Right now they are in the process of trying to get some peacock or purple spotted gudgeons after I had them look these fish up in their books. I also was able to buy my marbled sleeper goby this way, only it was another customer who placed the order, the wholesaler shipped out 2 or 3, customer only wanted one (one is enough!), so that left a couple for me to choose from!
I find that my LFS is always open to suggestions and usually tries hard to get in any special requests.

i think the LFS near me special orders. They do both fw and sw and have such a knowledgable staff. I actually heard one girl to NOt get a pleco and go with the more inexpensive oto.

My lfs orders the fish I request. They will charge normal prices if not lower.

Mine will order as well, but if it's something way out there (really sensitive or grows really large) then they'll ask for a deposit in case the person doesn't show and they end up stuck with this fish
