I have them in my tank aswell, there on top of the water surface and very very small. Ive noticed them for years, light orange , tend to skate / jump across the water surface film. Daphina are larger.

I put my money on Red Spider Mites, they prob skim on the surface of the water because they are not heavy enough to break the surface, just be carefull how you treat them
