Phos reactor is working superbly!

Just tested phos levels, 0.06mg/l P down from off the scale over 0.43mg/l P D-D Merck test kit is what i use.

Ok after the emergency of a week i have gathered myself together lol and purchased a couple new inhabitants

Scarlet Hawkfish

And

Firefish

And A nice polyp mos tthe heads came out after an hr or so loads smaller one on their developing

Polyp is out in full bloom today looks stunning. I need to add a second actinic light to see the colours with the white light off.

Hmmm found a dead crab today looks completely intact not a hermit btw probably a nasty variety so not a bad thing.

Phosphate levels hit zero today yay.

Nothing else to say apart from that lol.

thinking of upgrading though to a 4x2x2 with sump though and fresh Live rock as mine has aiptasia that i am culling every few days when i spot more

yep taken a whle and alot of rowaphos though, i need my own RO unit to eliminate adding phos at water changes.

Might try track down a true peppermiont shrimp to try and control it naturally

Been away form here for a while not too much happened with the tank but have got a little vid.

Plans are now in action to breakdown my Rio400 which houses my Oscars, silver dollars and clown loaches and turn it into a marine tank. will start a journal on that. The rio180 will be broken down and livestock swapped to the rio400
