Sorry didnt want to make a new post but im in a bit of a dilemma here, Ive ordered a filter which has come today, To replace my fluval 2+
Its suppose to come with a spray bar, it didnt come with it, the filter just came with the angle connectors and sponges.
Ive had to put it in the tank straight away as the other filter died completely but I need to send it back because theres no spray bar, Should I send it back (IF I do then I will have no filter) Or should I just forget about it?

remind us why you need a spray bar and cant agitate the water with the new filter?

I must be missing something here, why dont ask the contact the retailer and say there is a part missing from the box rather then send the whole thing back???

Contact the retailer and ask for it! I don't see the dilemma
Edit - explain you'll send it back once you get the new one as you'll be without a filter. But tbh I don't see why with a bit of persuasion/whining on your part they won't just send you the part.
Failing that, buy a new one and send the old one back for a refund.

I never understood why these manufacturers can't figure this stuff out. Send him the !@#$% spray bar, for crying out loud! Sheesh. I've done plenty of whining and complaining before, and with the advent of viral Internet, most of them will do what I ask them to, which is never outrageous, just fair.

ah i see makes sense now, well you cant send it back and be without one but what you do need to do is get your self a proper filter that cheap sun sun filter will break soon as open the packet and your get more flow by farting in the tank after a month

One more question if you dont mind, one of my kribs have come down with fin rot, its fins are red and abit broken up, im not sure how it happened as levels are normal, and water quality is good,
Ive treated with anti-fungal fin rot but the tanks due a 50% water change today, could I do it with the medication in the water?
Or will the water change take it out?

common sense dictates 50% of the meds will get taken out, so dose 50% of the recommended dosage once you fill it back up.

Lol okay thanks, sorry for all the questions but one more thing, when you've got a filter and it fires out to fast and are pushing the fish to one side of the tank, what do you do stop stop it going so fast?
direct the output towards the back wall or side wall of the tank.

A) you put a more suitable filter in there
B) you restrict the output with a tap, if it has one
C) you point the pipe towards the glass and not the open water
