I have some Pseudosphromenus dayi (Brown spike tails). I had 4 but decided to return 2 because a pair had joined up and were chasing the other two a lot.
All day today they have been embracing just like bettas do when they breed. About 10 minutes ago I witnessed the female and male embracing and the male became paralyzed and sank to the bottom. Then he came too and they did it again only this time she released eggs
The darn harlequins nabbed some
So I moved them to another tank so the Dayi's got the whole 15 gallon to themselves now.
The male has built a small nest underneath a piece of wood
I'm very excited to see if the eggs hatch. I saw the dad grab one in his mouth. I wonder if he ate it or went and put it in the nest
