I forgot to add about the black shark, i don't know an aweful lot about them apart from they big, nasty and need a big tank.
You never mentioned the "window cleaner" before, there is no such fish but i believe you are referring to a pleco of some sort like this;

http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/loric...rygop/148_f.php

What type of fish are you referring to when you say headstander?

As for tanks, if you want to keep the left over irredenscent shark you need to get a 200gal tank. If you want to keep the bala shark but not the ID shark you will need a 75gal tank and 2 more balas.
If get rid of all your fish apart from the convicts, they will be fine in the 30gal.
If you keep the piranhas you are going to need a separate 90gal tank all of their own, since they are not community fish that can be kept with any of your other species of fish.
I don't know much about whale fish, but from what i have heard they are very sensitive fish so probably won't last long in your tanks.

i'll give you something to compare what is going on with your tank size and fish

your 30 gallon tank, has a lot of fish that get in my opionion to big for anything under 1000 gallons (ive seen a 1000 gallon tank and it even looked like it wouldnt be enough swimming room for a full grown ID shark)

it would be just like keeping a great dane dog in a cage meant for a poodle

but there's several products out there that will get rid of the fungus you just have to research on what exactly it is you have and go from there

thanx a lot tokis.....all you could f**ckin tell me is your fish are gonna die bla bla bla ....thanx a lot to all you guys.......instead of helping me find a solution to this situation...all you guys just wanted to be wise asses and tell me i did everything wrong !!!!! Ok, the white stuff you are seeing is called Columnaris, which is a bacterial infection. It is highly contagious, and also very deadly. You need to turn the temperature DOWN in your tank. I'm still not clear on which of your two tanks has columnaris in it right now. Depending on the fish that are in the tank, you can add some aquarium salt, which will hlep the fish feel better.

Check out this link for more information. http://www.flippersandfins.net/flexibacter.htm

As for the tank size thing, the answer to this question is not going to change. Think of all the problems you are having now, your ammonia is off the charts and you are having a hard time controlling it even with daily water changes. You have AGRESSIVE and TERRITORIAL fish that grow to be HUGE. They each need their own space and room to grow. Imagine putting two male bear cubs in your backyard. They might look ok the first few days, but once they mature, you are going to have problems with fighting over territory and the lack of space. When you get a bigger tank, your fishkeeping headaches will be reduced.

Ok benny0505 I am sorry you are having so much trouble. I am going to try to put this in a very nice way so you wont think everyone is putting you down. Are they anyway you could afford a 55 gallon tank I think walmart has them for under 150 dollars. This would help you out so much if you could. They are a product called biro spira I think is the name of it I got this stuff and it cycled my tanks overnite. I hate to see this happen because you listen to the pet stores, believe me two years ago I was in the same boat you are and these people here has helped me out so much. So please listen to them I know it sounds like they are butt holes but really they are just trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

Whatever you do don't buy anything from walmart. You can get a 55 gal. tank from almost any lfs for $100 or less.

I KNOW THERE TRYING TO HELP ME .....BY TELLING ME ITS ONE BIG BOWL OF FISH SOUP ??????? I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE ONLY 1 TANK....NOW I HAVE 2......I CANT GO BY ANOTHER ONE I DONT HAVE THE SPACE.......IM PUTTING IN cycle.....IS THAT THE SAME AS BIRO SPIRA ???? AND DO I HAVE TO PUT SOME EVERYTIME I DO A WATER CHANGE ?????

Unfortunately, cycle doesnt work. I have tried this product two seperate times. The first time I wrote it off as a failure because of having weak guppies. The second time I was using it to end a mini-cycle. I saw no major improvement in my water after using this product daily for 4 days (I bought the sample size ones). The cycle ended on its own.

Bio Spira is the bacteria living in a bottle. Bio-Spira needs to be refrigerated constantly for it to work (refrigerating it slows down how fast the bacteria reproduce, keeping their numbers incheck for their food source). It also has an expiration date.

Once your tank is cycled, you will no longer need to add bio-spira, as you wil have the bacteria living in your tank.

Everyone is telling you need to buy a bigger tank because it will greatly reduce the stress your fish are facing. The water wil stay cleaner longer, there will be less agresion, and the fish will be able to move and grow alot easier.

I have been following your posts for the past few days, and when you are told something that many of us have learned from experience and seen work, you instantly question why. You then say well, my LFS told me..... You need to wake up and realize, that LFS LIE to sell their products. If you don't trust what we are telling you, please, just call your LFS. See how well their advice works. Its your fish.

Get bacteria from another tank to cycle yours faster (a used filter cartridge/gravel) and jus do alot of water changes and the rest of your fish should get through it not saying it wont have a effect on them though

Big question(ignoring previous comment directed at me): Will you ever have the money or space to get the tanks your fish need? If you can never get them what they require, rehoming(which you don't seem to be able to do) your fish or euthanising them will be your best course of action, there is little point of keeping them if you will never be able to look after them properly by providing them the tank space they need.
If you decide the keep the ones that survive in their current tanks for the rest of their lives with, they will get stunted growth and die a long, slow and painful deaths.
So you need to make your decision here right now.

man you guys are sooooo ridiculous to blast me like this.......i just lost a fish !!!!!! i completely understand what u guys are saying....but i got fuc*ing screwed ok ......they told me that 2 id sharks were ok in a 30 gallon tank.......i cant do anything now but to help them get through this......on top of that i had to put my headstander in the other tank cuz he s the one that killed my id shark.....

I agree you guys are getting anoying new people come looking for help and you bash them so bad its funny for awhile I know I know but seriously enuff is enuff

Lol..We are giving him help He isn't choosing to listen....He sais he knows he is going to need a bigger tank but then he sais he doesn't have enough space well if you knew all this why did you buy it in the first place and petco adopts fish.........But I am truly sorry for your loss. I have had 4 fish die this week, I know how you feel :rip:

Best thing to do he is to ignore any posts by Benny Bullshi*er as all hes doing is winding people up.
He dont care if his fish dying or he would listen to people.
Benny give me the names of all the lfs near you and i will personally ring them for you and get them to take the fish off your hands.
Then you can start again with some nice happy fish that can be easily cared for (tetras, guppys, corys, plates, mollies, danios, 1000s of different kinds of fish in fact) while you learn about the art of keeping healthy happy tropical fish!
In mean time while you insist in keeping the fish you got that people have to you to get rid of, dont post more stupied questions like my piranha just ate my fish....is this normal?? or my sharks cant turn around in the tank cuz theres no room, will this be ok for them? Because people are sick of listen to your storys of healthy fish being slaughterd in the name of your "EXPERIMENT"

Hope this sums up how some of you are feeling to

Dan
