I dont think taking her out the tank was a good idea. Was she lying on her side or just sitting?
She looks heavily pregnant and a lot of livebearers bottom sit just before giving birth.

What are your tests for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph?
What other fish are in the tank and do you have it salted, as mollies like some salt in their tanks.

If she is in a community do you have a seperate tank for her to give birth in and feel less stressed?

she has been that shape for, oh 9 months now. maybe she is having a human!!!!!! :hyper: :hyper:

and she is/was in a Very healthy tank!!!

What do you feed your fish? as livebearers need frozen foods and veg in there diet.

Saying that she was breathing but motionless kinda gives the impression that the fish is still alive.

Looks like I wont be answering your posts again.

lol yeh that's how i found her. don't take offence!! i just found it funny, i got the whole water to breath thing some time back.lol though the offence you have taken can be no worse than, how i felt that you would think i was stupid enough to take an ailing fish out the tank just to photograph it!! still you act as you see fit.

thanks for the comments guys, i should have done an autopsy, coz the general consensus is some form of internal problem, perhaps a parasite

Keep an eye on the anus livebearers and internal parasites are common, look for long stringy white poo, red inflamed or enlarged anus.
