My longest living female guppy must be about 2 years old now... or maybe a bit more. I estimate she was close to 6 months old when I bought her and I've had her for about 2 years(ish) now.
Anyhow... in recent months she has been a bit of a weaker swimmer. Last night I noticed when she was getting tired that her back end was floating away and she'd end up vertical with her head down until she floated into something and she woke and righted herself. She is swimming around today but is a bit weak and drifty.
She hasn't had babies in a really long time so her body is slender, no more youthful roundness that the others still have... so, I don't think she is likely to have any bloating causing swim bladder issues... she is eating and pooping like normal...
Does that sound like it is likely old age creeping up fast?
