My dream tank would come equipped with an internal gravel vac that would magically clean the tank on a weekly basis.
(kind of like a pool filter that just moseys about cleaning) Now that's something to get excited about! :hyper:

A tank with 5 clown triggerfish, 3 picasso triggerfish, and 3 lionfish. Horrible, horrible idea for real life. That's like a free-for-all. They'd all rip each other to shreds. But they'd be so pretty together... :D

i'd quite like to have the amazon, are there "community" bits there i wonder theres a lot of predators around..hmm

anyway back to the point:
I think it'd be cool to have a stretch of river about 50 metres long somewhere that is heated/filtered.

A number of arowanas would be cool, they'd eat any foolish animal that fell into the water :good: Would have to put red tailed cat, shark catfish several pacus, some large peaceful cichlids, clown knifefish, giant gouramis, clown loachs and a large shoal of tinfoil barbs

I guess I'm not as wild as everyone else, but my dream tank (that I WILL one day have) is a 300 gal custom mbuna tank with as many species I can fit w/15 individuals per species. I say custom because I want it to be as short as possible to maximize floor space (will probably go acrylic).

You forgot Blue Cats man! Nice fish though. I love em all.

You know I'm curious! Why do you think we have this AMAZING obsession with fish! I think for me it stretches way beyond just the fish. I LOVE taking care of my tank, watching my fish and buying new things for them, AND new fish. I even like cleaning my aquariums...and bredding them is SO fun too. But why do you think we have this obsession? You know what, I think for me, it's because I have only been married about a year and we want a baby someday. Until the right time comes, these fish are my lil babies!!!

A realistic way to answer the origional question of my dream aquarium...well that would be my room FULL of them! Turn our guest room until a room just for aquariums...wonder if my hub will ever let me do that!!!

How about one where I could swim with all my fishies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
