Thats very close to my dream tank, probably mine would be alittle smaller with half a dozen pike, lots of perch, carp and some monster catfish (channel, blue, walking) altho gars are nice too......

But why do you think we have this obsession? You know what, I think for me, it's because I have only been married about a year and we want a baby someday. Until the right time comes, these fish are my lil babies!!!

I think that's why I'm a bit obsessed right now with fish. I want children so bad.. and right now, the fish and taking care of them etc is filling that role a little bit. That's why it was a bit devastating when so many of our fish died.. specially the little danio fry


Anywho... dream tanks....... Dunno... I just want an entire room dedicated to fish tanks. Ton of 5 gallons all filled with every single betta I could come across.. and then fry tanks for breeding.. and all that good stuff.
I'd also love a tank large enough to house at least 10 clown loaches along with whatever other fish. I want clowns SO bad! lol

It's so difficult to make a list because I want practically EVERY fish & invert out there! So I'd just have to say thousands and thousands of 5000 Gal(or bigger depending on the fish) tanks with all different species in, I think I'd have a different theme in each. Probably start off by having diff countries as a theme and try and get fish from that specific country.

I'd also have lots of rescue tanks for fish that grow large, I'd have a few dedicated just to common plecs.

I'd also love some impossible equipment, like self cleaning tanks, filters etc, so you could just watch the fish ad build your collection, can you imagine the maintenance on all those tanks, I'd have to hire an army of tank cleaners to keep them in prisitne condition LOL

A realistic dream tank would be an oddball community about 600Gal.

A dream tank that I'll actually be doing is for my goldfish when I get them a nice large new tank, it will be a japanese village theme. I'm going to have it densely planted(not sure whether to go real or fake) have a clearing in the middle with a few little pagodas, some tiny japanese figures and the main feature will be a bridge with some blue stones under it(to look like a lake) and big white stones around that as a sort of barrier. I'd prob have a very neutral tone substrate or black or white gravel.

My other is going to be my black & white tank full of albino fish, can't wait to get started on them both

A self cleaning plec tank. Big one. And it comes with enough store credit to fill it.

BTW if anyone wants any kids, triplets are on special offer in my house. Seriously. I've had it with them.

we were talking about this last night actually, when we win the lottery we want a tank big enough for an aripriama

have an assortment of other monster catfish and the like as well.

we'd also do a similar sized enormous reef tank.

co-incidentally i actuallly had a dream last night that i had a 6x2x2 and i had my oscar in there, with a shoal of SD's some lovely cichlids and best of all Polly back

My dream tank would be like an indoor pool - where there's a huge tank with glass at the front but at the back it looks as if it runs into soil with ferns and stuff (I think there's a name for it - but can't remember what it is).

I'd have lots of shoals of tetras and lots of pearl and moonlight gouramis, a huge tribe of panda corys - and maybe an angel fish or two.

and i said gars because i have caught them before on the st lawrence.this year i netted one near the dock.

and a whale shark tank.

and a magical tank of any size that cleans and de-algaes itself

OR build a house on the sea bed and let corals grow around it.
