Oh Yeah New Tank

at last the insurance company has paid up so i can now go & finish paying for my new tank. going to get all the bits i need to start the fishless cycle going i'm so excited

just got back now & the shop had sold it, so will have to wait till wedsnesday till they get another 1 in
but i suppose it gives me time to move furniture around so i can fit it in lol. anyway its all paid for now just need to wait for it to arrive in the shop hoping before wednesday

also got an aqua one cf1200 external filter, does any1 have 1 of these or know what they are like??? and a rena 200w heater & the backing. would be lovely if i had the tank as well lol. but no worries next week.
so think tonight i will spend time doing a water change & cleaning the algea of my other tank, maybe get some new plants for it as well.
will take pics of new tank when i get it so can kind of do a diary of it being set up

We sell the Aqua-One tanks at work, and they come with the AquaOneCF1000 and 1200 filters. They seem good enough, much better than the filters which come with most package aquariums... would prefer an Eheim myself, but an AquaOne external is better than most internal filters.

I have a Via-Aqua (same filter, different branding). They're good filters, but obviously not Eheim good. Fortunately, they cost about 1/2 as much as a comparable Eheim.

yeah thats what we worked out, also the eheim filter came without media & that would have been an extra £40 so we got the aqua one. just can't wait to get it all up & running now

woohoo finally got my new tank, it didn't look this big in the shop lol. oh well will definatly be centre piece of our lounge. youngest lad stood next to it last night & with the height of the stand & the tank its taller than him & hes nearly 8 lol.
will get some pics as soon as i get batteries for the camera can't wait till its all cycled now

hey, i'm in the same situation as you!
My girlfriend received insurance money and we're getting a 90 US gallon tank as soon as she can cash it!

It'll definetaly be the centerpiece of our appartment with big fishes in there!!!

well been messing with my new tank all afternoon finally got it sorted so i could get the filter running & put the bloody pipes the wrong way round and typically all the pipes are now full of water round the back of the tank so gona have to empty it all again now so i can sort it out. knew i should have waited till hubby got home, suppose thats what i get for being so impatient
