Oh No Not Another Stocking Post............ Lol

As an alternative to corys, parotocinclus maculicauda? Tend to get called red fin otos or red fin dwarf plecs, etc. Bit different.
nice fish ive never come accross, thanks. i was thinking of otos, maybe these are a good alternative :good:

Yeah, they look a bit like a cross between an oto and plec, I'll be tempted by some myself if I ever see any.

thats it, the other part is where to find some......

Copper Harlequins x 40
nice choice dave :good:

I have 10 normal Harlequins, and was planning on adding to their numbers, but now you have thrown your CRFT's in my mind... :grr:

can any dwarf cichlid guys give me some options?

i dont want kribs or rams though, maybe bolivian rams but not GBR's of any variety please.

Apistogrammas! Cacatuoides and Agassizi are always popular but there are loads of kinds, some more picky about ph than others.

Dwarf flag Cichlid, laetacara curviceps might be an option.

just been for a wonder round a couple of lfs and i think a green phantom L200 is on the list :)

What size was the one you saw? I have recently seen a few at around 4-5 inches for £85

oooh what about banjo cats? never had these and always wanted them

just been checking out pier aquatics stock list and they have plenty of tempters but they are 125 miles away

just came back from an lfs with a trio of bulldog plecs. not sure which species yet ill get some pics up when they have settled :good:

As in Chaetostoma spp.? Going to be far less risky to put them in a QT setup and get them eating, than putting them straight into your show tank. Hopefully they are a species that is more tropical temp tolerant like C. milesi, as opposed to something like L444 (now officially called Chaetostoma formosae).

looking ob planet catfish it looks like i have the White Spot Bulldog Pleco L187.

ill get some pics up asap for an ID.

im thinking of getting a group of 50 cardinal tetras as soon as the other fish have sold or been taken to lfs. ive been loooking on the net, in books and shops and really cant see anything that would look better than cardinal tetras. ive been offered 50 at £1 each so quite a decent deal me thinks :hey:

stocking plan so far -

8 x leopoldi angelfish
50 x cardinal tetra
3 x bulldog plec
1 x L200

thinking of adding a group of otos and still trying to make my mind up on a group of smallish cats. im not sure i can resist corys tbh and they have some decent ones in at pier aquatics at the minute.......... shame its a real distance to get them though
