had a busy few days stripping the tank and rebuildinbg it and stripping it and rebuilding it........

but now all the old fish have been moved on and the firemouth will go monday all being well.

this means its time to spend my fish fund

gonna get 50 cardinals tomorrow and maybe an L200 plec if its still there.

i currently have a 60x18x24 tank containing 3 x bulldog plecos

If getting Oto's then Wharf has them in at 5 for £7.50 which is pretty good i have found. I know it's a trek, but if tying it on with other fishy stuff then maybe worth a try mate.

Bet the bulldogs are happy.

cheers mate. i may well be going to wahrf on monday as i have the day off not been for a while and after visiting a few local shops i could do with a decent selection!

do you know if they had any decent plecos in? 6-7 inch max size. im after an L200 to stop beating about the bush

ive started a journal with this tank in the new world cichlid section of the forum if anyone is interested with its progress. its in that section as the main feature will be the Leopoldi angels

oooh what about banjo cats? never had these and always wanted them

just been checking out pier aquatics stock list and they have plenty of tempters but they are 125 miles away

I have a banjo catfish and he's fantastic! They are really shy and seem to be completely nocturnal so you have to be patient to see them. They completely bury themselves in the substrate with a tiny bit showing - there are days where I can't find him at all. I leave the lights off for an hour or so and then drop a few pellets in and he really comes to life!
