OKay, I really didn't NEED another fish , not with the two rescues, Synirr's four babies, and my assorted 7 other bettas.......but, when does anyone actually "need" another betta?

Weeeell, I did , today! I found two mustard green/ pearly HM wannabees at Petco . I know--awesome! So I'm picking out which one I'm going to take home, and then I saw him, OMG, he was just....there is no words, so here he is!

At least thier crappy cups are bigger than the petsmart ones. But I don't much like the store in general; sells way too many exotics gratutiously to anyone who can wave enough money.
I got a betta with TB from Petco in PA. How does that even HAPPEN?
Though, I must say, the Petco back home has bettas in beatiful condition. I think the difference is that they place the cups on the hoods of other tanks, which keeps them warm, unlike most stores, where they are out on some cold shelf in the 60 degree store.

About Petco, Lord knows I dislike them greatly. Although, since our Petco has remodeled and I think switched hands, they've been so much better. I say better, not great.

And I was so innocently just window shopping and doing my usual rearranging of the betta cups so their air hole wasn't covered. It is totally not my fault that they had this absolutely lovely fish that begged for my attention. I almost wish there had been something wrong with him so I could have gotten out of supporting that store though

But, at least the fish guy knows me and is actually doing much better now since I've lectured him a bit. Just doing my daily good deeds!

Yes, my girlfriend (who works at petco) and I found some nice SD/HM's at petco last week also, they are going to be selling these kinds of fish regularly soon (per her store manager) so I think they are slowly leaking some out to stores. Here's the picture of the boy I got last week from Petco.

the GF also found a copper with white fins, and a bi-colored greenish marble one too
