My mollies have been acting very odd recently. they seem to 'sit' at the bottom of the tank, not really moving, for a few hours. after a while they seem fine, no problems, swimming around happy...

The rest of the fish are fine though, in the tank i got 8 tiger barbs, 10 danios, 4 clown barbs, 2 bala sharks, 4 mollies, 4 gouramies, a pleco and a silver shark catfish. The tests show all OK on PH, ammonia e.t.c. and the filter is all good.

Im wondering on a swim bladder disease but they dont really have trouble moving, they just seem very very lathargic at times. It confusses me as the next day they are fine...

any ideas?

Need tank size in gallons or litres.
Post water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
What test kit are you using.

Need to make sure the tank not overstocked, bad water quality.

As being lethagic can be due to overstocking, bad water quality, parasites, bacterial, ph.

Some simple questions for you.
What are you feeding the fish?
What do you consider fine when it comes to pH?
As Wilder asked, what are you using to get your numbers?

Yeah for that amount of fish your gonna need like a 125-200g i mean thats 34 fish and some get over a foot.
is it new? is it old?
has it been cycled?
