i have 3 coolie loaches in my tank and i cannot find the one (i don't mean in find as in i moved everything in tank but by just looking) i always see the two tey stay in the wood ornament in the corner in dense veg :) but the other i cannot find, should i fear for the worst?

they cannot bury into the substrate thats why i made a dark corner with dense veg, also before i made a dark corner the other was never with the other two. what are your thoughts?

Even if they can't burrow, they're amazing hiders. I had some in my 30 gallon for a long time after I thought they'd all died. Give him some time before you start to worry.

not sure what in the tank with them, but if it died, its likely you would have found it. that's what happened to mine. found one dead, never saw one once. i assumed they had all died. moved something in the tank one day, and saw these red banded 3 inch snakes result! still rarely ever see em but, imo, thats how it should be if they are happy.

i have 2 in a 60L a banded and an all gray the all gray one is happy darting up and down the tank or laid near my air curtain but the banded one hides alot and takes a good 10-25min to find i have few plants and he like to sit in the middle of them or under my rocks where hes moved the gravel out for a little bed
