Whenever I changed the water in my fry tanks I always hang one arm in just out of boredom to get the fry used to seeing my hand in the water... and now they've actually gotten to the point where they'll let me catch them in my cupped hand!! There's enough water in my hand to completely cover them, so I assure you it's not harming them in any way

"Mooooom, put me down!"

Thats so cute! My girlies do that for me when I have to put an ornament/plant to rights. They also like to nibble fingers. Such pretty little babies you have there. congrats
