I got some pictus cats from MA last week went back to day and the same fish in the same tank were labled up as polka dot catfish! and the guy in there was abit clueless and called them painted catfish

could someone please id what i have brought

They both look like pictus to me. It will just be another name your LFS have come up with to make them sound different and rarer.

that is what i thought from googling pics, but for a minute thought i had been buying the wrong fish!!
