Now I Gotta Do It Right

More than likely they do have them there showing the symtoms.
Lfs gave me loads of fish bags when I went for free.

How bout the orange one doesn't have them will she still give me the med just in case. Anyway why do i have to shwot the fish just to get a medicine. Never had this problem before

i've had an idea what bout a lunch box container WITH a lid

The vet will ask you some questions, she has a sunken in belly, looking thin, and long stringy white poo.
You could always make a copy of this thread and take it with you.

The lunch container would only work with a lid if it had holes in for air.

Kk all of it....why anyway.

Havent a clue what you are saying sorry.

Either do i.....lol i didn't write that.
I won't take a copy of this and i am gonna take a square lunch box with a lid and peirce laods of holes in the top with scissors with the towel over it and in a bucket.

Ok good luck.

Not many holes required, just enough to let a little oxygen in but not enough so you have water spilling all over the place.

Honestly I think a bag would be better, but if you have to use the box, then please be careful.

Woops i've done about thrity small holes and 2 biggish ones. Why would a bag be better it wont spill if it has a lid..... Be careful u mean are my fish gonna dye?

Lets just say if the fish gets splashed about, which it will as its impossible not to on a journey in a car, then a bag is much softer than the sides of a box, it will be fine, just be careful and avoid as much sloshing about as possible.

Lucy there is every chance that along with the internal infections/worms (or whatever it appears the fish has) and the stress of the journey that the fish may die unfortunately, hopefully not but its always a risk transporting sick fish. Which is why Wilder has been asking if its not possible that the vet would just look at a photograph rather than put the fish thru the journey.

Any small corner shop will probably have sandwich bags or similar, they are really easy to find.

Okay i'll try to get my dad to get a bag. I'll also phone up once more to see if she'll take photos. Also umm why do i need to do ALL this just to get a stupid medicine? Can't they just give it to me and i'll treat it. When treating new fish for worms can i use this stuff?

Some vets would prescribe over the phone for you, yours obviously doesnt and they want to be sure they are presribing the correct medicine.

The Levamisole (sp?) is particularly for the certain worm type, not for all I believe, but Im not an expert on this (wilder is) A normal de-wormer for fish from your LFS will suffice for any new fish.
