Come hrom work and I noticed the rehomed O has got a broken jaw sometime during the night.

I have nothing around at the min to seperate him from Scar and nowhere is open and i have to sleep. ANyone know if homebase or Focus sell perspex at their stores?? if they do i can fashion a divider out of it and give the rehomed O a chance to recover in peace, and decide what i'm gonna do. Didnthink they had a problem and have been showing signs of Pairing!! then i come home to a broken jaw. I do wonder if he's smashed into one of the brace bars or lid or light bar. but know it oculd have been from jaw locking.

DO fish jaws heal over i dont think they heal perfectly but do they heal at all, i know water changes and will does some melafix/pimafix to stave off infection.

Nothing you can do. You could just keep him in a hospital tank Nd see if it heals and it might but it will never be the same and he will always look a little funny.

I dont think there is anything you can do about it.

Not a lot you can do really, I had a Koi carp that broke its jaw (never knew how) it healed but left him with a wonky mouth, but he is fine otherwise.

Well the injured fish is eating fine so will see what happens

if he is earring and shows no signs of stress or illness I would just let it heal and it will. He should be fine just a little messed up looking.
