Never seen that before although i only have one parrot... Nice fish you have there but did you realise that black marking is a sign of disease ONLY found in parrot fish???

She had some when I got her, and they just keep spreading, she's the only spotted one. She seems to just be turning black. I knew about the disease but shes with 40 others now, and none have black spots she's the only one

Thank you it's a great site, though I am worried about my parrots there are now 3laing on their sides (though the yellow blood likes to be upside down). The last one is the new JP I got yesterday. They get up and swim around, they are the only 4 laying down (and together). I dunno what's doing on

Maybe a swim bladder issue? Could we have water perams?

I checked it, it's all normal. Should I treat for a swim bladder disease? and how would I? I'm really worried, I've thought about possible Flukes (cause I know it can cause the same symtoms) but there's nothing on their gills

Are they behaving normally when they do swim? Do they look like they are drunk when they try to swim or anything? Jellybeans I know have some odd habits and it's hard to tell what it normal for them and what is disease. Mine flash when it's breeding time but I've never had them lay down like this. Ever the fan of MelaFix, give it a try for a day or two before you jump into more hardcore meds. It seems to make them feel better and be more able to fight disease in general. If you notice anything else out of the ordinary then I would try stronger meds. Are their eyes cloudy or is that just the light? And just out of curiosity what is your PH?

The swim normally, pH is 7.1 I'll try the mexafix see if it helps, v_v I don't want to loose them.

*On another note, the new JP the I bought is female >.< man she turned bright orange yesterday

They do, All the time

That was my next guess. They look like they are a little paler than they should be. Are they breathing heavily? You might want to move them to a quarantine tank. If they are laying on the bottom they are most likely having a little trouble swimming even if it doesn't show. A quarantine tank would be more shallow and therefor easier to swim in. Plus you wouldn't have to expose all of the other fish to potentially dangerous meds. These are some tough fish, they should be fine. Make sure you keep an eye out for seconary infections, both bacterial and parasitic. I am sure they will make a full recovery. Let me know how they are doing.

Ya, that's a good idea, oxygenate the tank better.
