Nitrate Confusion

right am really confussed here my nitrate have been dissapeering

i am fishless cycling and my ammonia is going in 12hrs and nitrites are going down from 5ppm to 2ppm so thats good


but nitrates were rising and now they have droped this morning they were at 80-160ppm and now are sat at 5ppm i am using an api masters kit to test btw

it has baffled me any one any ideas ???

shake bottle 2 before you use it

i did that both times

also their is 2 people with this problem

check for the expiration date of the test kit bottles. visit the 'manufacturer info' section of my site for details.
