NFL 2025

I saw on TV, both Brown and Riggins run. I remember watching about 20 or the best 25 of all time. A few names don't ring a bell but I must have seen them.

If you want to trucks, talk Riggo (Super Bowl XVII MVP-166 yards rushing, 1 TD) and Csonka (Super Bowl VII1 MVP- 33 carries, 145 yards rushing, 2 TDs). And don't forget Franco Harris.

Then, before Jim Brown, there was Marian Motley who made linemen look small. He is briefly compared to Earl Campbell in the following 4 minute video. Sorry, guess you will have to go to YouTube...

Go figure... In four games Flacco had 8 turnovers with Cleveland and then goes to Cincinnati and plays like an MVP candidate.

I have been blasting Flacco but it may be that I should have been blasting the Cleveland coaching. In hind sight it is likely that the Cleveland coaching just refused to allow Flacco to play his game which is largely downfield throws.

Then there is Dillon Gabriel at QB. A rookie in his first NFL start and they put him out in London. Was there any way they could have put more pressure on the kid? :dunno: In his second start they make him throw over fifty times. You just don't do that to a rookie in only his second start. Then, against the Steelers, when he threw over fifty times, they have the ball first and goal on the Steelers' four yard line and don't run the ball once even though they have a down hill runner that hits the line hard.

Then there are all the dropped passes. Let's be honest; any NFL receiver can catch a ball. The biggest difference between the best and worst receivers is largely in their mental attitude. The heads of the Cleveland receivers are just not in the right place.

What I'm saying is that I think it is time for a new coach. Kevin Stefanski is just not putting Cleveland players in the position to where they can best show their abilities. He actually seems to be restricting such abilities and I don't care that he won coach of the year not long ago. It is just becoming apparent that he is hurting the team, not helping. Think about this... Cleveland has an offensive coordinator yet Kevin Stefanski still calls the plays. This makes zero sense.

Go Flacco go Flacco; never liked that arse Aaron. Always thought Flacco was a real character worth his weight in gold.

As for Cleveland they have real issues; they need to do what the patriots did and hire a good coach; though one has to ask what was Tennessee doing when they dump him; stupid owners believed some idiot con man to fire him.

Quarterback Purdy of the 49ers is still injured but hoping he will be back next week. Meanwhile Mac Jones is the backup quarterback and has done fairly well the last 2 games throwing for over 300 yards in each game.
The Pats should have an easy game with the Titans as the Titans are a horrible team this year.

Yea i'm pleased Mac is being given a chance to shine after the patriots did their best to ruin him. Pity Mike wasn't there when Mac was drafted.

And Cleveland finally ran the ball. Result? Quinshon Judkins scores three touchdowns, one a 43 yard play to lead in a 31/6 win over Miami.

The run game allowed the defense to play freely resulting in, I think, 3 interceptions and a couple of fumbles.

Sigh, what a waste of a major game by Browns' Miles Garret. He had 5 sacks against the Pats and they lose 32-13. The Browns' defense is really good but on the field WAY too much. You just can't win when the defense is on the field 2/3 of the game. 2 interceptions by rookie QB, Gabriel, didn't help. Garrett now has the most sacks by a player under 30 years old even passing Reggie White with 108.5 sacks. There is no doubt that he should end up a first ballot entry to the Hall Of Fame.

This would have been a good game to bring in Sanders as QB but, as the Browns' luck would have it, he was inactive due to a back issue.

I just can't understand the play calling either. The Pats have a good run defense but are a bit weak on defending the pass, especially down field passes, yet Jerry Jeudy, their #1 receiver, only had one target... :dunno:

Drake Maye had an awesome game for the Pats today. He had a passer rating of 136 and threw for 3 touchdowns. He was awarded 32 fantasy points and completed 18 of 24 passes for average of 12 yards for each pass. He also rushed for 50 yards. Outstanding!

Ya, he did well but a lot of that was due to the Browns' defense just being on the field to much.

Actually Maye didn't really perform all that well suffering 6 sacks and a couple of turnovers. He just had the advantage of the Browns' offense being totally inept.

Sorry to go off topic again with college ball but I was SOOOoooo ticked earlier today. I was watching the Air Force/Army game. I rather like watching the military academy games as I'm retired US Navy.

So, the game is tied at 17 with about a minute and a half left. So what happens? They switch to the pregame for another game that didn't even start for another half hour. :dunno: While it ticked me off I think they probably had no choice as the pregame they switch to involved Montana which would be considered local to my area. If the college TV contract is the same as the NFL's they have to broadcast the entire pregame, the game and the post game.

LOL! sort of reminded of the "Heidi Bowl" between the Raiders and Jets in 1968. This was one of the best comeback games in football history woth the Raiders scoring 2 touchdowns in the final minute to win. The network figured the game was over and switched to the movie Heidi. To put it mildly football fans were not happy campers. ;)

Rogers was with the Jets but is now with the Steelers. To be honest I can't remember if Rogers signed with the Steelers after being released my the Jets as a free agent or if a trade was involved.

Pats have now had 6 wins in a row and are on top of AFC East division. Today’s win was not easy but they won 24-23.
