NFL 2025

I was watching youtube, Fishmanic...& then I wasn't! Grrr!!

Husband has ESPN on his PC but it's the lame moving football thing without radio or any sound or real time updates (sigh!). Luckily, it's not MY team not but I still wanted to watch. I'm sure I can see the score eventually :(

Chiefs play the Eagles at home on Sept 14th. Should be a great watch. I hear there will be some eye candy in Brittany Mahomes viewing box. :D .
Patriots home opener is this Sunday at 1 PM against the Raiders. 24 members of the Patriots’ 53 player roster are new this year. Should make for an interesting season compared to last year’s snoozefest.

I just caught the 4th quarter of the Chiefs/Chargers game as the baseball game between Cleveland and Toronto was more important to me. Beside that I can watch the Chiefs/Chargers game during the week on the NFL network if I bother.

Yeah, we get free NFL network...but reruns, unless it's my Eagles, I'd just like highlight plays. My husband may have watched last year's super bowl too many times for me, lol

We are worried about KC next week especially after their loss today. They'll be out for Eagle green blood! I hope we play better than today.

We were slight Patriot fans when we lived in MA, the home team, except when they played Philly...& especially that super bowl. Brady may be the GOAT but so many rule changes & shorter seasons, it's not a fair comparison. & as for our spitting player in yesterday's game was nothing to what the old players did all the time back then! Eek! Brutal times, I think they were called good aggressive players.

I'm not about to pay the price for Sunday Ticket so I listen to the Browns radio broadcast and have Red Zone on my TV with the volume muted. If it is a good game (meaning that the Browns won) I watch through the following week on the NFL Network.

I used to have NFL Game Pass, now NFL+, but it was a waste of money as it only allows the radio broadcast while the game is live. Sure, you can watch but only after the game is over. Since I can stream the game's radio broadcasts for free and later watch on the NFL Channel it just makes no sense for me to pay NFL+.

Anyway, I'm all set for Sunday football with the Bengals visiting the Browns. Nice rib eye is out thawing and have a baked tater ready for cooking. Since the Browns/Bengals game is early, 11:00 AM my time, the steak will go for a later game. Actually I'm pretty well set as to football meals for the season with 1 top sirloin steak, 17 rib eyes and 6 pounds of frozen raw chicken wing drums and flats. :) LOL! I'm probably pretty well set through the Super Bowl. ;)

I can't figure out how I feel about the Browns, and other teams, starting with a division game. Part of me thinks that there should be no division games until at least week three so teams can get going with what they have. On the other hand both teams are in the same situation so I don't really know that it matters... :dunno:

What's interesting is the last week is always divisional games and this first week about half the schedule is divisional games. I think the first week should be all divisional or none at all.

While this may be slightly off topic it also bothers me that, in college ball. the top teams always seem to start the first few games against scrub teams that really have no chance just to build up their record.

My local slate of games today is Pittsburgh vs NYJ, Cincinnati vs Cleveland, Detroit vs Green Bay and the night game Baltimore vs Buffalo.
So three good games and Cincinnati vs Cleveland.

I'll be pulling for Jets, Detroit, Buffalo and, of course, Cleveland. ;)

Frustrating Browns' game! Defense was great with Miles Garrett getting two sacks and giving up less than 50 yards Bengals' offense in the second half...

Then enter the offense and special teams. Flacco gives up 2 interceptions although both were probably not his fault. Place kicker just seemed to fold under pressure. Missed an extra point and a short field goal but didn't miss a single kick in the preseason.

Browns lose 17-16 in a game they won in every aspect except the score.
