I notice that there are little spontaneous icons appearing at the bottom of your avitar...... What qualifications makes you move through the ranks from being a newby with a 1 Fish decoration to "leader of the fish" with at least 6 to 9 little fishes ornating your name???

depending on how many posts u have the more u hvae the higher u go

So basically, you could post any jargon and become an admiral or sergeant Major I think the quality and relevance of your answer should dictate...... Maybe the board should have a monthly meeting and decide who the're going to promote on grounds of quality posts related to fish (not post your house pics) and so on, and so on....

yes, i have to agree. i am a 6 fish rating, but i am still very much learning,and dont really like to give advice im not that confident,i will help on the things i am sure about, but still have a tendency to point out that someone should correct me if im wrong, or to wait for further advice before acting on what i have said---its just a post count nothing else, maybe this should be made more clear,so others dont mistake people like me for a genius,( tho i dont have that problem as yet ) but having said that-people like you ludwig well you should go straight in at 6 if it was knowledge related

Shelagh gurl....That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me...(I mean even when my wife asked me to marry her), but as it is, 'tis a strange hobby we're involved in here and no matter how sincere you are in giving your truthful opinion on any thread, there will always be enough evidence to prove that you are completely wrong due to the flexible characteristics of our aquatic friends.... everyone experiences it differently and accepts his/her views as gospel. (That's where I come from).
