I lost all my links and info for the forums I used to use ages ago. Just pulled my finger out and re'joined.

Over the years I have down sized and let alot of fish go BUT am getting closer to the tank I like.

So far my tank is a 5' x 2' x 18", I have my own made 3D backround with two large pieces of Bogwood, also have a plant on each growing successfully ( dont know the name of the plant but I am not doing anything special ) I may add some Java Moss and a cheap CO2 system.

Fish wise I have:
2 x Talking cat fish ( never see them )
4 x Gourami's
7 x Bristle Nose
2 x Firemouth

Just today added:
2 x Ram's
6 x Glass Catfish
6 x Cherry Shrimp

Would like advice on a few things.

Should I add more Shrimp, LFS are expensive so is there anyone on here breading them?

How about Java Moss, anyone on here growing it? Is it an easy grow any where plant?

LFS has a CO2 system for about £10-12, small canister you replace every so ofter, would this help my plants or is it a waste of time for my size tank?

I will try to post a few photos of my setup later.

Cheers

Sounds like a nice set-up. Can't wait to see pictures. Your stocking sounds like a peacefull pleasant one. 7 bristles in a tank must be fun to watch.

Certainly adding more shrimp would be ideal as you'll get far more fun out of them. Plenty of people on here keep them and often sell on the results of breeding. So check out the classifieds ;)

I'd stear clear of the CO2 kits your on about. For a tank of your size pressurized CO2 is the only ideal method. These can be expensive, with ready made kits often above the £100 mark. You can DIY kits together for less. I set up a Fire Exstinguisher CO2 kit the other wook for less than £80. Far cheaper and far far more effective on a tank your size. Those cheap £10 jobbies would last a week on your tank

Get them pictures up! :p

Cheers for that, I've started a new post in the photo section. Saw someone selling Cherry Shrimp on the forum, looking to pm them but I think because I am a newbie I cannot pm people.

How many posts before I can pm people?

Cheers
