Newbie In Need Of Some Advice

Basically I really want to re-do my tank after everything has died/ just about to.

I did have a mix of tetras and goldfish which ended up with all the tetras dying due to an 'insert appropiate' of a flatmate who cleaned my tank with APC and a sponge.

So i now have the following equipment...

Tropiquarium55 Fishtank (Inc Tube light and heater)
fluval filter
air pump and 4" stone
bog wood
snail shell
some cheap 'skull/rip' thing
obviously pebbles

I'd like to know other than tetras what could I put in there? (something colourful preferably) and i'd love something like a Loach/Plec.

Also what stocking densities etc..

Is there anything I could do with upgrading immediately before I start? I'm definitely upgrading the pump as its quite noisy next to my bed.

Any help and opinions really appreciated

What are the dimensions of the tank? and what fluval filter is it?

guppies and bettas and some tetras ? depends really on size of tank and how much you want to spend

Tank size (gallons pls) and filter size. Are the goldfish still in the tank? do you have a heater? I know of a few species that can be kept without a heater though. Things such as Rosy Barb, White Cloud Mountain Minnows, Flathead Minnows(yes they're good as a pet and not just food), plecos(although a heater is reccomended), bettas, black& white skirt tetras and I believe Cory catfish aswell.

- Length 51.5cm
- Width 26cm
- Depth 33cm

I'd prefer to have lots of little colourful fish than a few fancy ones

Its not exactly a spacious tank so you're guna be hard pressed to have 'lots' of fish in there.
Some of the suggestions made already however would be just fine, things like Cherry Barbs, White Cloud Mountain Minnows (My Brother has a golden variety in his tank that are stunning). Also consider maybe Threadfin Rainbows, they look very nice in groups.

well i went away for a week and before i went i cleaned the tank etc and placed a week food block in there got back and two were floating and one had died. so i tried to revive them but no such luck.

defibrilators do not work on goldfish for future knowledge lol
