Hey, I'm new. I'm 18, and live in England. I'm a pseudo-otaku, meaning I love anime and manga, but I can laugh at myself for my nerdiness.
I was on Practical Fish Keeping's forums, but they kinda died for a bit. Hope they get back and running soon ._. But I'll still come here, it looks pretty nice ^^
My tanks... I've had some bad times there...
My first tank was and still is a coldwater tank with two comet goldfish. The first comet defies his breed by being the laziest fish I have ever owned, while the other one with the inexplicably shorter tail (but still a comet, I've checked) has decided that fingers are tastier then his actual food. Owned them for just over a year now.
Now, my tropical tank was problematic. I used to have a large community of three swordtails, a gold gourami, three balloon mollies and three rainbow fish, all of which got on incredibly well.
Now, I have two balloon mollies and a gold gourami.
Let this be a warning to newbies - your friends suck even with detailed instruction. I still boggle over how you can read a pinch of flake food as a tablespoon.
(Of course, she also bought me one of my swordtails without telling me and threatened to flush him alive if I didn't take him ;-; Poor little guy...)
Other then that horror story, my tanks have been okay. My tropical tank is fully cycled and ready to accept some new fish, and I'll be heading over to the tropical section to see what can be added.
So, uh, yeah. Hai guyz.
