Hi all.

1st of all, I have a juwel fish tank with built in filter light heater and pump. Size is 60 x 30 x 40.
I'm on day 4 of the fishless cycle. Managed to get some squeezing on day 1. did a ph test and a nitrite test today which was ph 7.5 and 0.0 mg/l. Am I heading the right direction????

Sounds like it, depends what fish you are going to add in respects to your Ph

Well I would like some shrimp as bottom feeders ( as long as they don't grow to big) Neon Tetras x5 and god knows what else. Really looking for some really colourful ones. Bright and flourescent (excuse the spelling).

Neons look good in a shoal, 10+ should be fine, dont think shrimp grow too big but look ace!
Guppies might be a good addition very colourful. Must admit im a fan of the "bigger fish" though lol

you're doing the add and wait ammonia thing....right?

I am doing the add and wait thing yes. Don't add Neons for 6 months...... really fancied them. Oh well.
What other fish can I get apart from shrimp that will clean out the tank? I don't just want bottom feeders.

lokkochaa I would have big fish if my tank was big enough.

Just googled up glowlight tetras . They look really nice, so I'll try and find them.
Doubt my LFS (Pets at home) will have any. Shall see tomorrow.

So on Day 1 you added pure household ammonia and it tested as 5ppm.

Then on Day 4, its still 5ppm and nitrite is still 0ppm and pH is 7.5, right?

And you're measuring these with a liquid-reagent based test kit, right?
