Newbie Advice Needed.....

Just a quick update. I added 5 more zebra danios at the weekend and have been monitoring the levels and so far no change. Ammonia and nitrite still show zero. So far so good..Thanks again Waterdrop for your expetise...

Glad to hear of your success FAF. Zebra danios are really fun fish. I like the way the dark part of their stripes can sometimes take on a handsome blue component as they become more mature fish. All fish can be strikingly beautiful, even the very small ones, when you are right there with your aquaium and able to at times observe them very, very closely. Its one of the pleasures of fishkeeping! Its also interesting with danios that they can seem like little racing machines, sort of pure muscle and kind of streamlined for low drag.. they seem slightly higher in the middle and very slightly curved lower at the front and tail which to me looks like some of the low-drag things that engineers design. WD, I agree the danios are always chasing each other and very fast and i love their never ending energy.

FC Everything is going well thanks, after some superior advise from Waterdrop I now have a cycled and happy tank. The ammonia and nitrite are ever so slightly up (as expected after adding fish)but not anywhere close to the first colour on the nutrafin test kit. Tomorrow is clean day so i'll do a water change and clean the gravel etc and that should take care of that..Will take a few pics and try post them...
