New To Me Fish Tank W-Stand Question

Well After bugging my Father inlaw...! I am now a new owner of a 55gal with stand.for free great right ? .
heres a bigger problem I think . it was a marine Tank . now how should I go about cleaning this tank that still has (the live rock,sand,6" of water)?

this is what i'm buying for the tank ( filter,sand or gravel,plants...)

now any tips to converting this saltwater tank into a freshwater ?

There shouldn't be any problems at all; just rinse, rinse, rinse. Oh, and then rinse it again...hope it's nice hot weather where you are

rainy/muggy and somewhat warm ... thanks But I was wondering if it would Cause any problems if it was 97% clean ( some salt maybe hard to find and clean )

What you can't get out will be so diluted once you've rinsed the tank and filled it, it won't do any harm.
