im relitively new to the world of cichlids and just wanted some advice, iv got agassizis, keyholes and bolivian rams, and want some more cichlids, i no i have neons and hatchet fish which i could re-home, but wondered what i could put in that isnt to agressive or is gonna eat my poor little female agassizi..i seen a small blue acara about 2 inches...also a smallish t-bar...anyother sugestions :)

thanks

I would stick with small dwarfs with those other cichlids. So dwarf acaras like nannacaras and laetacaras there are gorgeous ones of each have a look around I really like Laetacara Buckelkopf. I hope you dont mind me saying this but I would seriously get your schools sorted out and the cories. Cories need a minimum of 6 of each species per school same goes for the neons and the rasbora. Now I understand you may have lost some but it would be good for you and the fish to fill out your schools before doing anything else. So maybe your final stocking could be

2 Laetacara Dorsiger
3 Keyholes
2 Apistogramma Agassizi
2 Bolivians
3 Swordtails (1M 2F)
1 Hypostomus Cochliodon (very nice btw :good:)
6 Marbled Hatchets
8 Neons or 8 Emerald Eye Rasbora or 8 Gold Neon (take back the others) or you could take back the hatchets and neons and get a bigger school of a hardier dither fish, I am a bit concerned that the neons or the emeralds might get caught badly in the "cross fire" I think a tougher tetra would be better like ember or even a bigger tetra like bleeding hearts
8 Julli corys (take the other 4 back) - cories and dwarf cichlids sometimes have problems so this is why I say lesser the full amount of them. The problem comes from if the dwarfs breed and the cories get in too close they dont always learn like other fish do.

Just to add as well after the next couple you will be at your cichlid limit. IMO it is going to be risky with the new dwarfs but you need to watch the tank carefully for excessive aggression any of the pairs or groups of cichlid could become dominant. Though so far the cichlids you have are quite tame the one with the worst aggressive reputation is probably the Agassizi.

Hope its helped :)

Nothing if that's you stocking in the sig. You are fully stocked. With south American cichlids less can be more. You have plenty now I would not add more to that tank. But like said before stay with dwarfs.
