So, I got myself a 73L tank. Had a goldfish in it and was pretty ugly.

So I cleaned it up, stuck a new light in and heater, Some playsand etc and here I am now.

Going to get myself more plants. It's also missing fish, Any ideas I welcome.

Get a taller plant like vallis to cover the filter at the side and heater at the back?

Where did the Goldfish go?

I've never had luck with vallis, They die really quick in my tank :| Soft water maybe.

Goldfish went to my LFS

I'd go with a mini South American biotope

A trio of Apistogrammas and 6-10 dither fish - personally I'd go with a colourful pencilfish but any small tetra would do the job.

Soft water maybe.
That's probably it, Vallis grows better in Harder water although you may get some success supplementing magnesium, calcium and potassium levels as well as your regular plant foods.

Alternatively you could try some Chain Swords (not the pygmy variety!) or Amazon Swords. There are also a few Crypt varieties that will grow taller and can be used as background plants.

I have swords in my other tank, Would prefer to see if they grow first.

I was thinking more corys, Shrimp and maybe a betta. Depending how bored I am.

What about some honey Gouramis? Celestial danios and I'm really enjoying my neon green rasboras! Managed to find 10 for £20 in my local MA and they shoal really well.

Celestials don't shoal though.

Going to my LFS 2mro, WIll have a look.

Try an anubius plant. I've only had mine in the tank for a few days and I've already got new growth. My ludwigia repens are growing already as well. The latter can get pretty tall and is very easy to keep.

That's what's in it, Those plants are anubius :p

Well they are, aren't they. Mine are a different type of anubius, but I have no idea which one. Haha. Get a few more then!

Am woking on it. I don't wanna start dragging out some plants from my 200L just yet xD

Apistos definitely, maybe some kind of tetra or barb? And cories to snuffle the sand :D

Tek oot.

Thought barbs were too big to put in my tank :p
