ok thank you snake so how long before i can add fish or is there a cleaner out there i can use

Your very welcome.
Have a read at this - http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/113861-fishless-cycling/

About 5-6 weeks

and yes there are products which claim to clear the water but I personally think there useless, I know that you can use this wool (cant remember the name) but you put it in your filter and it will clear it but I dont think its need as it normally will clear up in a few days.

Filter aid by interpet works a treat. Initially makes it worse, but soon clears (24-30 hours) It works by grouping the fine particles together so the filter can catch them better.

The wool that Snake reffers to is called Filter Wool or Filter Floss.

In all honesty, if it is a bacterial bloom which it does look like then it is a good thing and will soon clear. It is a sign that the nitrogen cycle is working. :good: Water changes don't really help either, so don't get doing loads of 100% water changes. lol.

Never tried the interpet ones, does it work for algae blooms?

Got to get me some of that to keep at hand

If your tank is cycled then the best thing to use is Seachem Purigen and Filter Floss for crystal clear water. :)
