I'm abit confused here .
So is this tank been sold or are u keeping it and looking for an ideal new stocking?

would the oscars not eat the tetras as they grow or are columbian tetras a large tetra species ?

Columbians are a larger tetra - if the OP can find large specimens then they might be "Oscar" safe? I have seen it work in the past. Though not in my own tanks.

Frankie - if thats the right measurements then you are selling your self short here.... those measurements work out at 718 liters!! In which case there is 0 problem with this!

right have re mesusred tank 24 " deep , 73 " length , 18 " wide !!!

Ah right same size tank as me so 517 liters!! This stock could work but not sure how well its just not something I would try but thats more down to the type of fish I like, not too much of a fan of Oscars my self - but Im also not sure about Heros Efasticous or Oscars in an 18 inch wide tank but its kind of viable and a better life than some Oscars have..... So its a bit of a toughie.

I think go with it see how it is and rehome if you have to basically But having had to reluctantly rehome two Severums today due to them needing/wanting to breed and causing increasing aggro in my tank I would not recommend it as it is somewhat heart breaking

I feel like venting. Wills I don't know what happened and you and others have been good about not getting into it. But regardless, this particular forum has suffered greatly. It isn't nearly as dynamic, diverse or interesting as it was when you and the others where around. What a big shame. Seems like someone goofed somewhere along the line. I know that I'm off on other forums mostly because if it and I just think it is really sad. Nevertheless, I'm always glad to see you and star post from time to time.

yeah tank getting there !!! bit empty at mo , am growing x2 2 inch oscars on and x 2 threadthin acaras ( i like these )

will be removing one oscar when they become of size !!!
if anyone close to birmingham there may be x2 gren sevrums goin (juvis )
will get a pic up soon . looks so bare with out plants , want something realy ,,,, er dark and mysterios that make sense

Dark and mysterious, kind of... you'll have to throw some pictures towards me when you're done.
I'm slowly trying to go for a 'messy' natural dark but light kind of look? makes sense to me anyway lol.
