New Tank :)

Although looking at the Otocinclus they look like simon. Maybe the LFS employee thought thats what he was?

And otto is an otto. And CAE is a CAE. HE is a CAE, plain and simple.

I suggest if you're attached that you keep him until he starts causing problems, and try to keep him fed on meaty foods like flake/cichlid pellets etc when he starts taking an interest in them.
Then be ready to re-home him when the agression starts/when he starts to outgrow the tank.

In regards to my awesome Simon actually being evil killer eye sucking fish have decided too keep an eye on it he's only just over an inch now so once he grows and starts showing aggression i'll rehome him to a tank on his own in the outdoor room on the table because he's fun to watch.

Have had some thoughts on stocking

2 german blue rams
2 ottos
5 emporor tetras
6 guppies

How does that sound?
Though not set on the tetras or guppies just like them because I've found them reasonably easy to keep in the past and it means I can have LOTS of colours.

I think that sunds fairly good. German blue ram's are lovely, awsome fish. Otto's are cheap, pretty, and handy. They are not hardy, though- make sure to put them in last. My favourite fish are Emperor TEtra's, so I could go on all day about there pro's. One peice of advice- make sure you put in more female's then male's I recommend getting three female's and two male's. The female's have yellow eyes, while the male's have blue eyes. And, finally, guppies. One thing abut these fish is that they like hard water- your other fish like soft water. I recomend aiming for a ph of 7.0. I have Platy's and Emperor's at 7.0, and they love it.

Well, cheer's!
PM me if you need any specific help.
