New Tank

hi all i just got a new tank its 12*12 by 18 high and the geezer in the fish shop give me 25 watt sera heater will this do the job. Im getting a bit worried cause when i look on the internet it said it wouldn,t be...... i hope it does cause my 2 year old has totally demolised the packaging

25 watt maybe a little small will do for time been but really 50 would have been better

Agree... at least 50 watt, unless you're keeping goldfish, in which case you can remove the heater totally.

that fish shop just pisses me off its fecking useless. when i just started out fishkeeping two years ago it was my local fish shop and every time i got a fish out of their it died. at first i thought it was the old new tank syndrome but it turns out the person who owns it would try and sell snow to an eskimo their only after your money dont care one thing about trying to help. i once bought ten neons and got up the next day and they were all dead so i went back to the shop and he says he will give me ten more out of the back. and what do you know the next day they were all dead. I live on the isle of wight and there only is 3 or 4 fish shops and you can never get any thing decent. the only reason i got the heater out of that shop was cause he got me my new tank. i had to get it made cause of they measurements and every other shops on the island didnt want to know cause it was only a small tank. they best about it is the fellow how owns the shop recommended that heater .............THE B*STARD
