New Tank...Yes Another One! ^.^

Thanks Fiddlesticks! :D He's a bit of an escape artist though...I have every hole the back of that aquarium shut up tighter than Fort Knox. If I didn't...well, I'd have a crab crawling around on my computer. :/ :fun:

Your ottos are so solid colored, the brown on the top of mine break into spots

Great pics Arashi!

If your hood has 2 incandesent sockets you should replace them with 2 spiral 13w compact flouresent bulbs. You can get these from any Home Depot, Menards, or other hardware store for $2.99.

I did this with my last 10g and the plants are growing like weeds. All I add is a little liquid fertilizer (Flourish) each week. IMO, once you start with live plants, there's no turning back.

I think you will be amazed at the results. :)

Also, have you considered getting a pair of Apistogramma for the tank? They are beautiful, interesting little fish. Once you get some, you will be hooked the dwarfs.

Here's a good site:

:kewlpics: thanks for the pictures :D especially the otos. They are so cute. I want more.
Kirby is very photogenic  How big is he (she?) how big will he get?

cometcattle - I was looking at getting some small rams. My lfs has some called Ruby Colored Rams (I think, thats what they call them... :/ ), but anyways they are small and yellow/silver with a little bit of red on their fins. Really cute. They are supposed to be dwarfs too. ;)

flintstone - Thanks! Kirby is almost 8 1/2 inches now (three months ago when I bought him, he was only about 4 1/2! ). He's growing like a weed. Since he's a sailfin plec, he has the potential to reach over two feet. He's my favorite fish and is the biggest sweetheart in his tank!
