Hi,
My guppy had 35 babies yesterday. They are in a 10-gallon tank so I decided to get a new 10-gallon tank to keep the fry in. I used the carbon filter and switched it to the new tank, along with the gravel and 50% of the water, all from the old tank.
My question is, what about the old tank, will it lose all its good bacteria since I removed the filter completely? I left the front sponge in it with a new carbon bag but the old carbon bag is the new tank with a new sponge.
I have a feeling I did something terrible...
The fry are still in the old tank right now. I want to wait until the new tank is cycled.
What are your thoughts.
