thanx. Ive used 2 internal filters (they run 80G each) for now. ill buy an external when ive got more £££.

to get cycled ive jus had a clever move about of filter pads from all my old tanks to go in the new filters.

without causing a mini cycle in the old tanks of course.

As the good bacteria dont jsut live in the filters but also highly in the substrate etc.

a very small amount lives in the substrate.


cloning a tank jus means putting the old media in.


fish are happy as larry even tho i keep changin there new home lol.

nope, altho that wouldnt be a problem cos instead of selling the 3ft tank they were in ive jus put it on the bottom of the stand and refilled it.

bacteria should be fine.


gonna use the tank for water changes, fill it the day before i want to do it, heat it.


then alls i have to do is empty the tank out the window and pump the ready and waiting water back in.

makes it easy to dose the dechlorinator too.

i got a tank in my room a pc and a t.v all runnning off one plug in the wall will it explode ?

1 plug socket in my wall i have 13 things running

extention plug lead with 5 extra plugs on
heater
filter
air pump
light purple
a plug block with 3 extra spaces on
light white
extenshion agian with 5 plugs on
pc screen
pc tower
pc speakers
lamp
LAN box

dam is that over stocked and danderous ?

i dunno tho im pretty bad myself. ive had extensions plugged into extensions that were plugged into one of them box things and it all worked.

wouldnt reccomend it tho.


ive run extensions in from plugs from other rooms to give me more plugs now tho.

Sam, could you mabey tell me the measurments of the metal square poles ? And possible of how high the stand is off the ground ? Cause I wanna get one thats nice and strong like that ! and want to see how much is would cost for the metal as my dad can weld it together !


Are there those feet on the bottom that you can screw in and out to adjust the stand to make it level ?

ridiculous how many plugs you need aint it. i only have 6 in my living room...... have 4 extensions running and only 1 spare socket!

the stands 32" tall and the metal bars are jus over 2" thick.

oh and yea the feet are those adjustable types.

he did a good job of building it.
