So I recently set up a 75 gallon tank. I still have more decorations to add and am waiting on a water test kit from Amazon, but I've had it fully running for about 3 days now. Once I get the test kit I will see what my levels are and add any chemicals to get it balanced properly and cycle it for about a month.

What I'm wondering though is if the following will be a good combination of fish...

6 Angelfish
4 Clown Loaches
1 Plecostomus Catfish

Should I purchase them all at the same time or add them slowly one species at a time?

I really wouldn't worry about any fish until you are fully cycled. When i first got my 30L tank, all i was worried about was what fish i wanted in there, ignoring the fact that i had to get the tank right BEFORE anything went in (bad newbie move combined with even worse fish store advice!).
Are you thinking about adding household Ammonia to fully cycle the tank?
Terry.

Like what sort of chemicals? Do a full fishless cycle, the sort which involves you adding 4 ppm of ammonia to the tank water and testing the parameters every day. A cycle needs to be done until the filter is ready, not for an x amount of time.

Angels are great for a 4 ft+ tank, so I think will fit well in yours if it is. Keep in mind that they should have at least 2ft in height so that they grow well. I used to keep a group of them in the past and they did very well together.
Clown loaches need at least 6*2*2 ft tank, so you will have to pass on them. What about 10 zebra loaches instead, or any other loaches which max out at 6" or less? Otherwise look at 10+ Corys.
Don't go for an actual Hypostomus plecostomus, they are tank busters and should have at least 5*2*2 ft tank. Look at any pleco under 8", there is a list of those in the catfish forums on here.

Ideally, you would be looking at stocking along the lines of..
* 6-8 angels
* 25-30+ 5+cm dithers for the angels
* 10+ loaches or Corys
* 1-3 8" plecos or 1-5 6" plecos

If you do a real fish-less cycle as per the instructions in the beginner's resource centre on here, you can add all fish at the same time. If you do anything else, you have to stock slowly.

Thanks, I'm reading the Fishless cycling on here now and will start with that. Everything I found elsewhere wasn't as well written as on here.

Also - the link in my signature for the "do and do not list" adds a few helpful tips that are not covered in the beginner's resource center....
